We bought Daphnee as a green 4yr old and she is my first self produced young horse. Daphnee is a beautiful mare, known as Princess or Monkey at the yard because of her cheeky nature. This mare has tons of talent and has a big future ahead of her.

We finished off our first Eventing season in the UK with a 5th in the CCI3-L at the Osberton International 3Day and we have just finished our second season with 16th in the 4-L at Blenheim Palace International. This was our first long format at this level, PB in the Dressage and a double clear made for the perfect finish to our 2024. The team at Birch Equestrian have been a massive part of our UK Journey so far and we cant wait to see what we can achieve in the future.

NPS Nebraska a.k.a Nancy

4yr old Mare by NPS Super Nova, out of Diabeau Mare. Breeder Elite Passport and owned by Clive Long and Pamela Douglas.

Nancy is a recent addition to the team and we are so excited to have this talented young mare onboard. She has been beautifully produced by Andrew Williams and John Tilley from Kilkenny International Sport Horses and we cant wait to see what she achieves in 2025.

Cruising Guy a.k.a Dexter - 4*(Now happliy retired)

15yr old Irish Sport Horse, by Loughehoe Guy, out of Thornfield Gwynne. Sire of Dam Cruising. Owned by Clive and Abby Long. We bought Dexter in 2017 from Florida, America and we are a match made in heaven. Dexter also known as Sausage for his piggy appetite, has a lot of personality and is always causing trouble on the yard. Yet he still fills a special place in my heart and I do consider him my heart horse.

Happily Retired on our farm in NZ, living his best life!! Paddocked with my first big time horse, Hugo - the horse who first got me onto the NZ Squads and Young Rider team.

Belmont Holy Smoke a.k.a Eric - 4*(Now happliy retired)

15yr old TB, by Faltaat, out of Flaring Star. Sire of Dam Dehere. Owned by Clive Long

We bought Eric in 2015 and he has been a tricky horse both mentally and physically. Over the last 2 seasons we have finally started to work him out, and Eric having a lot of raw talent and power makes him the ultimate XC machine. Wouldn’t want to be sitting on anything else in the start box for a tough 4* track. Happily Retired on our farm in NZ, Living his best life with my former 4* Eventer Enzo :)
